- Electronic submissions leave student and teacher with versions of both the ungraded and graded work, which facilitates the assessment and revision process.
- Electronic submissions do not get lost or damaged, as they exist in multiple places both on personal computers and the cloud.
- Electronic submissions can occur at any time, so a missed physical class meeting is an impediment to students turning in there work.
- Paper is heavy and bulky.
- Instructors can create "standard comment sheets" to facilitate detailed feedback. A comment sheet contains lists of feedback for common errors that an be copied and pasted into students work. For example; quotes cannot stand alone but must be part of a sentence or more complex feedback on conceptual issues.
