#8 Building Extra Credit right into Rubrics without Screwing up your Point Spread
Students love extra credit and instructors can incentivize and reward desired behavior and thus train your students with just a few extra points for exceptional work or behavior. This can be accomplished via your rubrics in Speegrader.

First, open your Rubric - here note that the total is 17 even though this is 15 point assignment. Although, when you look at the assignment in edit mode it will still indicate it is 15 points:
Second, select edit to go into edit mode:
Notice the last criterion is for exceptional work. Two points may not seem like much, but it is really the idea of extra credit as a feedback tool than the actual point value. Then select Update Rubric:
Simply select Leave Different. Then will leave the the official point total intact (thus not confusing students) yet allow you to easily add extra credit when grading.
