Canvas Feature Updates
Canvas features are constantly updated and improvements and fixes pushed out to users. You can check resent updates by checking the Canvas Release Notes page: http://tickets.instructure.com/forums/337224-product-release-notes

New Groups Feature: You can now change a group's leader or the leader settings after the group has been created and is in process. Edited settings won’t take effect until after the next membership change, such as when another person joins or is assigned to the group. For manually enabled changes, you may have to refresh the page to see the group update.

New Open Quiz Submit All: For students who navigate away from a quiz before it is finished you can now force submit all outstanding quizzes simultaneously. In the dialog window, Canvas displays a list of the outstanding submissions and automatically selects the checkbox next to each student’s name. To grade outstanding submissions for the selected student(s), click the Submit button. Canvas will grade the submission and update the score. For more information on using the quiz feature see:

Featured Features

Using the Canvas Calender
The Calendar automatically syncs with other features in Canvas, such as Assignments, Syllabus, and Grades, so if you create, change, or delete the due date of an Assignment on the Calendar, it will show up in all the others and vice versa. You can change dates easily by dragging and dropping assignments from one date to another.Select feature include

Dates/times changed one place are changed everywhere

Sync with calendars in Gmail, Outlook, and iCal

Let students self-schedule office hour visits or presentation slots (you set the perimeters)

Student groups have their own calendars
