#8 How Create your own Autocorrect in Word and iOS
Autocorrect can be your "frenemy" (eg. pubic v. public) in so many ways if you do not carefully manually proof. Still, it can be a boon for academics with our often specialized vocabulary that Word desires to "fix" for you.
Luckily, Word allows you to create your own autocorrect replacements.
To customize AutoCorrect, follow these steps:
- From the Tools menu, select AutoCorrect OptionsÂ…
- In the box labeled Replace type the abbreviation
- In the box labeled With enter the full text.
- Click Add
- Click OK
In iOS to activate the autofill/correct:
- Go to Settings
- Then Keyboard
- Then select Shortcuts
- Next, select the "+"
