#2 Security/Sign-on Issue

Students and faculty have reported a potential security issues with Canvas sign on and authentication. This is a MySJSU authentication and not a Canvas issue

If someone signs on to their account via another computer the browser will stick or remember that person. For example, if a student uses a faculty members laptop to sign on to their SJSUOne account and then logs out, when the faculty member goes to log back in the students account may come up.

This is also an issue if students use each others computers.

To avoid this quit out of your browser and reboot.

You may have to clear the cache or cookies, but not in all cases.

I recommend that every keep a "clean" browser on their computer, several are available for free online (eg. Firefox, Chrome) and use that exclusively for student use and checking to see what sites look like from an outside user. Do not bookmark or have it "remember" passwords/logons. This makes it much easier to clear out  the cache or cookies
