#7 Add Content to Navigation Bar

You can actually add new navigation links to the navigation bar on the left side of your Canvas site. It's easy. One caveat is that security at SJSU is so tight users may get a prompt to select a button and open it in another tab rather than "in frame."

  1. Select "Settings" in the navigation bar on the left side of your Canvas site.

  3. Scroll down (keep going - there are a ton of them) until you find the BIG BLUE ARROW Screen Shot 2014-06-28 at 2.24.37 PM.png

  6. You will get this dialog box, make sure to fill in the name you want in your navigation, the url, and any attributes. Screen Shot 2014-06-28 at 2.30.18 PM.png
  7. If you want to change where it appears, select the  navigation tab and drag and drop it where you want it. Note - it won;t appear in your navigation bar until you move out of the page (select "home.")
