To get credit for this workshop you must:
- Review the data from your email in-box. The point is you need a reasonable amount of data to code, so if you do not get much email traffic of this type, you may wish to include more emails (month+) or if you get HUGE amount of traffic go with less (a week, few days)
- Use the coding categories and items suggested to code the data from your in-box. Add, expand/reduce or alter categories or sub-categories to fit your data if you feel it will help. For example, may you need more detail for types of clothing or electronics.
- You should have a coding sheet, for each category (solicited, unsolicited).
- Look over your coded data and start to think about what it is “telling” you about the commercial email you receive. What does it say about its effectiveness, your consumer profile/identity, anything else?
- Submit as ONE document to Canvas by the workshop deadline.
- Come to class with access to your materials and be ready to code in groups.
