Students post a maximum 5 minute video overview of their projects and a maximum 250 word executive summary of their findings to their pages (linked above). Each student must review every project video, create one question, and submit it to the Forum page for the day that project is scheduled.
Tips on making your video:
- Just use the video recording function in Canvas - it’s easy.
- If you want to do something more complex, make your video in iMovie (or similar app) and then embed it via Youtube.
- If you use YouTube you must make the video public!
- Write up a script or outline and use it as a guide or read directly from it.
- Keep it simple.

Presentation Video Overview should include the following:
- Introduce yourself, your project topic and title, research question and hypothesis; and why you thought it was interesting and important.
- Discuss your methods, how you did it, challenges, and how you overcame them.
- Discuss your findings: answer your research question and hypothesis. Provide several examples from your data the most interesting things you found.
- Conclude with your lessons learned, and what you would do differently and/or future research.
Presentation Video Overview should NOT include the following:
- A review of your literature.
- You reading verbatim your discussion section.
- Listing answers to survey questions or other long lists of numeric data.
Executive Summary should include:
- Title of paper in subject line (not included in word count)
- Discussion of your methods
- Research Question and how your data answers it.
- Hypothesis and how your data answers it.
- Brief summary statement.
- Do not include lit review.
