The final exam is on Thursday, December 15th at 5:15pm (until 7:30pm) in Science Building, Room 258 (our normal classroom).
The test will consist of 10 short essay (3-4 sentences) questions. All of the questions will be based on material from the video lectures. Each short essay question may be answered with about 4-5 sentences; often a simple drawing will help illustrate your answer.
Here is a sample of the kind of short essay questions you may expect on the exam: Final_Exam_Sample.pdf
You only need to bring a pencil to the exam plus any notes that you've taken during the class. Although you have 135 minutes for the exam it will probably only take you about 60 minutes to complete.
Final exam counts for up to 50 points. If you elect to skip the final exam then your course grade will be determined from the total points accumulated from other work (homework, papers, quizzes, etc.).
On-line Option: Instead of the in-class final exam you may take a 50 question final exam on-line anytime between December 14th and December 20th. This is similar to the quizzes except it has a time limit (60 minutes) and may only be taken once. If you take this quiz then you can’t take the in-class final. Here is the link: [On-line Final Exam]
