Share Your Videos: Canvas Studio

Canvas Studio

Studio is an integration that lets you share videos and add quiz questions or allow for commenting at different points of the video. You can upload your videos directly to Canvas Studio, but you can also pull in ANY video hosted on YouTube! That's right! You can even add your own quiz questions or have commenting on another person's video, all right from within Canvas!

Important Tip for Canvas Studio

In the first screenshot below Studio is ENABLED in my course menu, but the students will see a BLANK screen there! That's because Studio is a place that HOLDS my videos until I do something with them. Merely pulling them in and having them in Canvas is NOT the same thing as actually sharing them!

To SHARE your video, you have to actually put it somewhere! A good place would be on a PAGE that you have in a MODULE! (Or on an assignment, in a discussion, etc.). The screenshot below is a page within a module. Note that I can see where on the timeline the students left a comment. Also, I can subscribe and get alerts when comments are made.
