Making changes to your schedule

NewStudentAdvisingHOld.PNG

By the end of day of orientation, you will have a New Student Advising Hold placed on your account. This will prevent you from DROPPING (deleting) your blocked course(s).

You will still be able to add a class.

Students may only drop a course for the following reasons:

- Conflict with part-time work

- Conflict with a Math course

IMPORTANT: Students must contact the ESSC (success-engineering@sjsu.edu) to request to remove the hold temporarily so the student can drop the course. Include your student ID number in ALL communications with University departments.

*The blocked courses ensure that students who have a later orientation are guaranteed a course they need to graduate.
