Create your Survey (15 mins)

Now that you've audited your syllabus and made any essential changes, consider checking in with your students with a survey. This anonymous survey can be done either in the middle or at the end of the semester. Focus your questions on the cost and diversity of the course material. 

Creating the Survey

Choose one of these options:

    • Copy and paste the sample questions into an ungraded Canvas quiz; or
    • Create your own survey; or
    • Go to Canvas Commons in the left blue navigation bar. Then, search "Syllabus Audit" to preview and import either the quantitative or the qualitative survey into your course. See screenshots below for the steps. 

We recommend using the settings: ungraded and anonymous for your survey.

Select Canvas Commons then search syllabus audit.

Select the import or download button.
