Because writing is an iterative process, we're going to work on revising your first essay for this class, the diagnostic essay.

The class average for this first essay was a C-. However, for this class, you must pass with a C or better. The revision of Essay 1 will help you attain that passing grade. The revision will completely replace the original grade for this first essay. (I will have Canvas drop the first grade after you have submitted this revision.)

Be sure to note the comments provided on your timed version of Essay 1. (They should appear in a tiny box at the conclusion of your quiz. Enlarge that box to read all of the comments.)

Word count: 750

Due Date: 2/19, Friday, by 5pm (Late Submission Policy)

Expectations:

  • Revise writing style and argument according to our work thus far in the semester (see schedule for the various elements of writing that we have covered).
  • No outside sources allowed.
  • No first or third person allowed.

Upload a Word document. (Other file forms don't work with the comment feature.)
