Our next essay assignment will be broken into two submissions:
- A 750-word essay, and
- A pecha kucha presentation
These are instructions for the 750-word essay FINAL DRAFT.
At this point in the semester, we are exploring a variety of issues surrounding the uses of technology to establish community.
For this third essay, you will choose a social media platform with which you are not familiar and use it for 2-3 days to assess its use, community building, platform requirements, and more. (See list of allowed social media apps.)
For this essay, you will analyze this social media platform. (See analysis questions for apps.) I encourage you to research the history of use and creation about your social media platform. Also consider the requirements for use, its portability, its features, its intended audience, its tone, its privacy statement, and more.
Due March 1 - for in-class post
You must have selected your social media app and begun using it.

However, so you can have time to come see me for questions about Essay 3 and get feedback from your peers on presentation day, the final draft of Essay 3 is now due on Sunday, 3/20, at 5pm.
