Essay 1: Diagnostic Essay

Find a quiet place to work on this timed essay during our February 2 class time period. (No class meeting.) You will have 12-1:15pm to complete the assignment.

For our first essay, I'm interested in seeing how you think and how you write. This first essay is timed (12-1:15pm) and is based on your ideas and critical thinking abilities. (It's also good practice for the timed essays that you'll do in your other courses.) No outside sources are allowed. Avoid first person as much as possible (I, me, our, we, us).

Write your essay in the text box provided in Canvas. The exam will automatically conclude at 1:15pm. Click submit prior to 1:15pm or you will lose all of your work.

You will want to find a quiet place to work since we will not meet in our regular classroom for this assignment.
