SJSU Cares
Links to an external site. identifies and serves some of our most at-risk students, which include our displaced students, food insecure students, and students experiencing an emergency or crisis. Our society is programmed to stigmatize people who have these needs, but it shouldn't be that way. If you find yourself feeling financially, food, or housing insecure, please make use of SJSU's resources. That's why they exist! Plus, if you are in one of these situations, you owe it to yourself to get help so that you can be the best student you can be. Food Insecurity
The Spartan Food Pantry
Links to an external site. is a walk-in, full-service, staffed, food assistance program offering non-perishable goods, fresh produce, and refrigerated items to eligible students.
CalFresh
Links to an external site., known federally as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), provides a monthly cash supplement loaded onto a debit/EBT card to purchase groceries. CalFresh assistance has helped many students who are experiencing budget restraints. There are trained staff and volunteers that can help guide you through the application process.
Housing Assistance
The SJSU Cares assists and immediately serves students who have been displaced, experiencing homelessness, food insecurity, an emergency, and/or a crisis.
