Through this Creative Leadership class, I have learned useful tactics and benefits on how to be an effective leader. I was the director of a 10-minute play, and was able to take our readings from class and use them in our real life scenario while directing. I found the contentions that author Piers Ibbotson presented to be incredibly helpful while performing the difficult task of directing. My objective wasn't to direct, but to inspire creativity and place creative constraints so our work time was managed effeciently and productively. The overall results reflected positively and I am more prepared to take on leadership roles in the work place because of this experience. Attached is my concluding essay of the Creative Leadership course- essentially a reflection of reading The Illusion of Leadership by Piers Ibbotson.
